1.Ship crane is a mechanical equipment used to unload goods from a ship to the dock or shore. Ship shore crane, also known as shore bridge (or gantry crane), is a type of mechanical equipment used for loading and unloading containers and bulk cargo. Traditional shore cranes or RTGs typically use anti-collision rods through physical contact to achieve anti-collision. This anti-collision measure is relatively outdated and has problems with precision and distance control.The application of LiDAR greatly improves the drawbacks of existing mechanical protection and enhances operational safety

 

(1)Short distance offshore crane collision prevention: The LiDAR installed on the shore crane can measure the distance between adjacent shore cranes in real-time. When the distance between the two sides of the aircraft is detected to be too short, it will automatically stop moving.

(2)Crane beam collision prevention: The equipment is installed at the center or on  e side of the beam to prevent collision with the ship's antenna, chimney, container, etc.

(3)Collision prevention between bridge cranes and ground objects: Each bridge crane is equipped with two or more devices for detection. When encountering obstacles, the devices can automatically detect and alarm. Can set alarm zone, deceleration zone, and emergency stop zone.

 

2.Rubber tyred gantry crane (RTG) is the main operating machinery in specialized container terminal yards. In an environment with dense stacking equipment, as the number of work boxes increases, equipment collision protection becomes particularly important.

(1)Container collision prevention: Use two LiDARs to measure the contour of the container under RTG, optimize the route of RTG lifting based on the placement of the container, and improve operational efficiency. By adjusting the lifting equipment within the verified height range based on the current actual container height, ensure that the position of the lifting equipment container is higher than that of the container in the yard to prevent bowling.

(2)Collision prevention between gantry cranes and ground objects: Each bridge crane is equipped with 4 devices for detection. When encountering obstacles, the equipment can automatically detect and alarm. Can set alarm area and emergency stop area.

3.Unmanned transport vehicles equipped with LiDAR can detect obstacles on the road. When obstacles such as pedestrians and cars appear in front of them, they can remind the transport vehicle to slow down and stop to prevent accidents.
