The vehicle separator is an efficient traffic control device that is mainly used to identify, classify, and separate vehicles passing through highways based on advanced technology. At highway toll stations, the vehicle separator automatically identifying and classifying vehicles and achieves toll collection automaticly, greatly reducing the time and labor costs of manual toll collection. At the same time, the vehicle separator can also automatically adjust the lifting and lowering speed of the rails according to the traffic flow, ensuring fast passage of vehicles. The traditional vehicle separation method consists of a vehicle loop detector and an infrared grating. The loop detector is based on the principle of electromagnetic induction, with low cost and certain stability. It has been widely used, but as time passed by, its short lifespan, poor accuracy, and the need to damage the road surface during installation have become increasingly prominent. Light barrier sensor is based on the principle of infrared radiation, which makes installation and maintenance difficult and cannot be directly installed on safety islands. In actual operation, it is frequently scratched and knocked down by large vehicles, and cannot be directly applied in many tidal and harbor style lanes.
Therefore, the G-TEK laser vehicle separator has emerged, and the LMW-PI laser vehicle detector integrates a laser emitting device and a laser receiving device internally. Its working principle is based on TOF, which can detect changes in the distance of objects passing through the device in real time, thereby perceiving the contour of objects. Combined with millimeter wave radar, it has the characteristics of high accuracy, strong anti-interference, and multi applicability, and can be widely used in vehicle separation, event triggering and other scenarios, replacing light grids and loop detectors.
