The main function of identifying the driving shaft at highway toll stations is to ensure the accuracy and fairness of toll collection, prevent fare evasion, and improve traffic efficiency. By identifying the number and type of drive shafts, toll stations can accurately classify vehicles and charge according to the prescribed rates, avoiding charging disputes caused by incorrect axle identification and ensuring the fairness and transparency of charging.

The laser drive shaft identifier is a non-contact fixed recognition system developed by Tianjin G-TEK Sensor Technology. Its working principle is based on TOF, consisting of one horizontal laser lidar, one vertical lidar and an algorithm control module. It can perform stereo scanning on vehicles, not only identifying the number of axles and single/twin tires, but also accurately identifying the driving axle parameters. At the same time, it can also replace light curtains, loop detectors, and laser vehicle detectors to achieve functions such as vehicle separation and event triggering.
