What is photoelectric sensor

The greatest advantage of it is the ease of installation, which is why reflective sensors are always the first choice for manufacturers or users of industrial automatic doors. Mirror-reflective sensors from G-TEK sensors are available with two different light sources: infrared LED and laser. The user can make the appropriate choice to suit their characteristics. For example, the infrared LED type is highly resistant to light, while the laser reflective sensor is more sensitive and has a larger sensing range.

Laser light has four unique characteristics that differentiate it from ordinary light: these are coherence, directionality, monochromatic and high intensity. It enables contactless measurement over long distances. Laser sensors are commonly used for measuring physical quantities such as length, distance, vibration, speed and orientation. Compared to conventional infrared photoelectric sensors, it has a longer detection distance and is more sensitive.
