According to the working mechanism of the customized Proximity sensor , it can be divided into two categories: structural type and physical type.
(1) Structure. Customized Proximity sensors are constructed using the laws of physics and motion. The laws of physics are usually given by equations. For customized Proximity sensor, these equations are mathematical models of many working proximity sensors. The characteristic of this customized Proximity sensor is that its performance is independent of the material of its construction. Take the differential transformer as an example. It can be used as a differential transformer whether using permalloy or ferrite as the core, or copper or other wire as the winding.

(2) Physical properties. Customized Proximity sensors are constructed using the laws of matter. The laws of matter are laws that express certain objective properties of matter. Most of these laws are given in the form of the constants of matter themselves. The magnitude of these constants determines the main performance of customized Proximity sensor. Therefore, the performance of the customized Proximity sensor varies with the material. For example, all semiconductor proximity sensors and all sensors that use changes in properties of metals, semiconductors, ceramics, alloys, etc. caused by various environmental changes are physical property sensors.
