How optical gates work
The cross optical gate consists of the main body of the gate, the driving device, the transmission device, the limiting device and the photoelectric sensor. The transmission device is composed of worm gear and sprocket. The limit device is composed of a limit switch and a limit motor. Infrared sensor

The principle of infrared sensor is to use infrared light-emitting diodes to receive and convert the infrared light emitted by the object into an electrical signal, because the wavelength of the infrared light emitted by the object is generally between 10 and 100 microns, which makes these light can not be directly received. However, when the object passes through the infrared sensor at a certain speed, because the surface of the object will emit a certain wavelength of infrared light, and the infrared wavelength is much longer than the visible wave length, when the infrared emitted by the surface of the object will be received by the photoelectric device when the detector is converted into an electrical signal. Photoelectric devices are used to receive this signal and convert it into an electrical signal to control the opening and closing of the gate.

The infrared sensor is used to detect the working state of the external infrared transmitting tube and transmit the detected signal to the MCU. Through the communication with the control circuit, the MCU receives the signal from the infrared sensor, and controls the motor rotation according to the input signal, so as to realize the motion control of the full height cross turngate. RS232 communication mode is adopted between the communication module and the MCU. The single chip microcomputer realizes the control of the motor through programming, such as adjusting the pulse duty cycle. When the motor speed reaches a certain value, the MCU will stop the control of the motor.
