For gantry cranes with large spans (>35 meters), due to the large carrying capacity and self weight, the thermal expansion and contraction deformation of the crossbeam, as well as the stress deformation, are relatively large. Therefore, it is necessary to make the two supporting legs into a rigid leg (which can withstand both pressure and bending moment) and a flexible leg (which can only withstand pressure). The support legs of a large gantry crane must be made into rigid and flexible legs, mainly to reduce the displacement of the crossbeam when carrying heavy objects and undergoing thermal deformation, and to prevent the lower wheel group from gnawing on the steel track under deformation pressure, causing safety hazards
